Special Meeting
Roger Song spearheaded a petition to force a special meeting of lawyers in Alberta to eliminate Rule 67.4. The meeting was held February 6, 2023 and the motion was soundly defeated 2,609 to 864. See:

- A January 31, 2023 letter of Roger Song, explaining why Rule 67.4 was outside of the Law Society’s jurisdiction;

Letter to Premier
On July 17, 2023, the principals of CAL as well as 71 other Canadians, including lawyers, professors, and citizens, wrote to the Premier, the Minister of Justice, and to the Law Society, complaining that the Law Society of Alberta’s political objectives were a threat to the rule of law. We requested that the Law Society abandon its political objective and that the Provincial government reign the Law Society in. See:
Lawsuit
On October 27, 2023, Roger Song filed a lawsuit against the Law Society of Alberta. Roger alleges the Law Society of Alberta is outside of its jurisdiction and has violated Roger’s rights under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. See:
